Our monthly recap for March, celebrating Berlin Demo Day and looking back on the success of Grizzlython hackathon and Berlin Build Station
Everything we’ve been working towards over the last few months, from the amazing educational workshops to our Solana 1/1 art gallery at Build Station, has risen and grown into a beautiful crescendo, culminating with the brilliant Berlin Demo Day!
Our goal this year was to build a Solana developer community and onboard builders for Grizzlython. That was the mission, and we smashed it. With 60 submissions, we were able to showcase the pure strength of the German builder community and the rise of Superteam Germany. Along the way, Germany also became the second biggest contributor to Solana’s distributed network!
Here’s a look back on some of the best moments, starting with the highlights of Build Station!
Build Station - Brilliant Builders Brought Together in Berlin!
Now there are so many fond memories to pore over, but what really stands out to us, beyond the hard work, commitment, and big energy, was the Friday Mixers. Not only did these get our amazing builders together (and away from their computers), but they also gave our sponsors and partners a chance to shine, sharing their valuable expertise along the way.
The Superteam Germany community really came into its own in the last few months, with the members themselves volunteering to put out their knowledge to their fellow members through fantastic workshops and presentations. The top builders found opportunities to enter the spotlight and develop relationships with other world-class talents.
Think back to superteam Members Day too - that was SO FUN! Thank you for the memories. You can see all the photos here and look back with a smile 🥲. Who can forget the delicious Zupateam Beer? Build responsibly!
We can also look back fondly at the NFT art gallery and Chris’ “Zuuupppateammm” catchphrase! We’re going to miss you all after this amazing fun, but don’t worry, we’ll be back in the summer with something new (you’ll have to keep reading to find out what!). This is just the beginning…

The Finest Moment was Berlin Demo Day 👌
Calling Demo Day a success is just scratching the surface of how thrilled we were with this event. You guys made this epic event possible with your big ideas, badass building skills, and undeniable enthusiasm. For those who might not remember (the party was HEAVY), we saw 30 amazing projects present their builds and ideas, wowing the crowd of 100+ people, and showing us how epic the future of Solana and Germany's development is.
After the presentations, we had ALL the beer, pizza, and sushi that we could eat, and for those who made it past midnight, the late-night secret karaoke sesh saw you guys musically screaming your heads off - occasionally in tune. Buidl hard. Party harder. Even our wrap-up tweet blew up in style!

🏆The winner of the Infrastructure Track, sponsored by @StakingFac, goes to @getbunkr, which enables Solana users to protect their assets with 2FA. A well-deserved $5,000 prize sweetens the award!
🧱 @BrickProtocol won the DeFi Track sponsored by @openbookdex. Brick is a configurable protocol that enables users to tokenise any asset. They earned a prize of $2,000. Woo!
💚 The winner of the Social Track, sponsored by @Spling_Labs, is @POE_APP! POE is a social mobile app that rewards users for taking climate-friendly actions and enables them to build their Metaverse in the process. They have earned a $2,000 prize. NOICE.

Grizzlython Winners - Announcement Soon
Grizzlython was so awesome, and with over EIGHT HUNDRED (yeah, 800!) submissions, it was the biggest and baddest hackathon in the existence of Solana. It was major. We are here with our fingers crossed for Superteam Germany members to be on the podium when the winners are announced. Stay tuned to Solana’s Twitter for updates about the judging process.

Sir Isaac, what a gentleman! Isaac has been a huge help from start to finish and has been a popular and loved member of Berlin Build Station, all whilst building the award-winning Bunkr. Congrats Isaac, and thank you for contributing so much!
So, well, what now?
Some of you may be feeling lost. Berlin Build Station is gone (you have gotta see this wrap-up vid) and Demo Day was a big success, but that’s over too.
Don’t fret. We built, built, built through the winter. We are preparing even more exciting initiatives for you, keeping us motivated and busy during spring… Stay tuned;) Meanwhile, check out and make sure to register for the BERLIN HACKER HOUSE 2023! Coming August 30th…
