📱 Solana Saga European Launch Event
Solana Mobile’s Saga: The World’s First Web3 Phone, now in Europe.
Blockchain has officially entered into the mobile era.
Mobile devices have become an integral part of our daily lives.
We use them for various tasks such as social media, messaging, managing finances, and even ordering food. It is no surprise that people have started to manage their entire lives through these devices, which is why adopting a "mobile-first" approach is crucial for crypto as well. By prioritizing mobile devices, we can ensure that users have easy access to their digital assets on-the-go.
“We live our lives on our mobile devices, except for Web3 because there hasn’t been a mobile-centric approach to private key management.”
Anatoly “Toly” Yakovenko, Co-Founder @ Solana Labs.
With Saga, users can securely store their digital assets thanks to SeedVault, make transactions, and interact with decentralized applications. This not only makes it easier for users to engage with blockchain technology but also helps to mainstream the use of cryptocurrencies.
”SeedVault doesn't just hide the seed phrase, it isolates the screen and touch interface from Android. There is no way for Android to read the screen buffer or intercept the touch requests. This is the magic that makes the phone as close to a hardware wallet as a mobile phone would allow.” Toly.
We're thrilled to see Solana developing the Saga, the world’s first Web3 phone, and SMS (Solana Mobile Stack*), taking the lead in this nascent field. And to top it all off, we can't wait to explore the endless possibilities that it'll introduce to the mobile gaming world.
*If you’re a dev, and you’re interested in SMS (Solana Mobile Stack):

Superteam Earn 💰: Earning on Solana made simple — April winners!
Whether you're freelance or full time, we got you covered all year round with contests, bounties and more.
🧵 Twitter Thread Bounty of the month:
Hot right now, Compressed NFTs
Metaplex has introduced the next-gen of NFTs on Solana by implementing on-chain compression, significantly reducing the cost to mint and store digital assets.
The Solana Lab's Concurrent Merkle Tree program (Gummyroll) and the Metaplex Foundation's Compressed NFTs program (Bubblegum) collaboratively enable Metaplex NFTs to be encoded into the Solana ledger in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.
In April, we launched a Twitter thread bounty on Compressed NFTs, offering a reward pool of 550 USDC to anyone who could write a thread about them.
The task was simple: create a Twitter thread sharing insights on Compressed NFTs and tag us.
Congratulations to our 3 winners for the great threads. So What are compressed NFTs, and why you should care, in the the words of our winners: Read here.
Stickers Bounty: Congratulations to our 3 winners!
🥇 First place: @4RT_LUVR takes 1st place with a set of Build Station memories, winning 400 USDC and membership in Superteam Germany.
🥈 Second place: @DarknessPixie is the runner-up, winning 200 USDC. Neo never looked so good in digital.

We were missing those Hackathon vibes, so we co-organized a mini one
Together with our friends from Crypto Girls Club, Sunrise Stake, H.E.R DAO, and Ohr, we hosted a mini hackathon for individuals with both technical and non-technical backgrounds, which turned out to be a great success. It was open to all and welcomed everyone to come and pitch their ideas.
Pictures of the event, and our Co-Founder, Dr. Rebekka Revel:

This event was designed for those who were curious about hackathons and wanted to learn more, as well as for individuals who had never participated in one before because they believed they needed a technical background.
